Bought a refurbished vortex 22 striker.it shoots very well but the stop is too far forward to use on the rear ring.I decided to move it to the factory drilled front holes and when I did the screws were too long and rubbed the piston assembly.

yes sir if you move the stop forward the screws hit the piston get a good one piece scope mount & tighten the shanikeze out of it dont crimp your scope though! also tear the gun down deburr & clean the tube inspect your piston seal for shavings you will probably want to replace it! hatsans are great shooters once you clean all the &^^& out of them! unfortunately most people dont & have a bad view of the guns as far as support from hatsan on there low end guns good luck with that! i think you would get the tree in your back yard to understand your point sooner! not trying to frustrate you more just been there my self! my son has the striker 1000c & after hosing all the &^^& out of it & a proper tune & new seal. one piece mount & threw the scope stop away it is a nice little tack driver hope that helps michael!
