My Hatsan 135 ate a Hawke scope, but I was told it was because the scope was not optically centered. So I bought a Leupold and an adjustable mount and the 135 ate that scope. Maybe a dampa mount needs to be included.
is that what most ppl are using for the Hatsans?
What about a 95 in .177? It should recoil a lot less and still be a wood Hatsan.
Hey Dave19113,I would recommend the Hatsan 95 in .177 vs. the Hatsan 135.I have the 95 & 135 and like them both, but prefer the 95 at 1,000 FPS and less than 8 lbs. While fun to shoot, the 135 is truly a Beast and not as user friendly. The smaller .177 cal. also doesn't take advantage of the 135's true power potential. The 135 is best in .25 or .22. (but still a beast). My two cents..........
Dave19113,The 85X and the 95 have the same power plant, but the stock, muzzle brake and safety are different. So far I have shot my guns in my crawl space and my crony doesn't work with the light source. That being said, you should be able to get 750 to 800 fps from the original power plant with that pellet. I'm not one to worry about velocity that much, but if you do a tune on the gun and replace the inferior Hatsan piston seal you can easily get 800 fps or more using those pellets. If you want more power you can replace the spring with a vortex gas ram and max it out.More power is not necessarily better, but that is your call.Kirk
