Oops...
Got my Leapers 3-9x40AO-IR in today from OpticsPlanet and it's a beauty! Got excited to get it mounted on the QB79 before running off to work only to realize that I hadn't been very thorough with my reading... Came with some really nice pic/weaver rings, buuuut rifle's dovetail
I was looking at adapters that wouldn't raise the scope too high and found these on PA:
https://www.pyramydair.com/product/utg-11mm-3-8-dovetail-to-weaver-adapter-2pcs?a=4148
Anyone have any thoughts on it? Love that it's slim and the price is nice, but figured I'd get some opinions.
Thanks
-Shane

I agree that the slim profile would be very nice on your rifle. I have been using the one-piece adapters, but they do tend to be rather bulky, particularly on pistols. Let us know what you think about them.

I was actually having Leapers send me some of these for testing... I like the idea, but I want to be sure that these offer the same secure footing as other solutions....

Here's another option but it's about 3X the cost and is intended for use with Burris Signature Zee rings.

The adapters would probably work just fine with other rings though. FYI

Bob: You've used them before? Do they hold nice and secure? I'd hate to use nice mounts just to have the base slide'n out on them. Its for my 79 so I'm not worried about recoil, but I'd like to have it interchangeable with my other rifles if needed.
Richard: Looking forward to your review. They're on back-order now anyway so i'll have to wait to order as is.
Thanks for the link K_sqrd, I've saved them just in case the UTG ones fall thru.

I use them on my mrod 22 and there is no issue because of no recoil.
