Im wanting so bad to reach in there and chamfer that step just a little more but there's obviously no backing out of that once it's done.
The bigger the pellet the easier and domes are pretty much necessary. Thanks
You should do it. I saw a post once where Tim McMurray described how the home-gamer can do it, usually to remove a burr on the TP but it works for polishing the leade as well. I did this on one of my hard-loading 392PAs with success.
What pellet is difficult? One with a hard, sharp rim? Just shoot domes! They are generally the best for long range accuracy.
When you load the gun, point it down, and let the pellet fall into the barrel.
