Big Ed has full shroud kits for this rifle including a breech riser to accommodate a larger diameter shroud. Others make  LDCs that fit without the need for a threaded barrel. So options for quieting the rifle down are out there. Mike also tests each gin for shooting and holding pressure before it ships. I like a rifle with a magazine. Have two of them. Tons of fun. But I have one that is a single shot, and I like it equally well, and it doesn't run through pellets like water through a sieve when I shoot it. Variety. The spice of life! ;)

I got a copy from Gary. found a new d/l site for it too. I wonder if this rifle will be as accurate as my little CZ200?

thats  :P well if all the stars aligned in China that day when they made the barrel and then again when the rifle was built maybe,  if it is your luck is great and run out and buy a lottery ticket  ;D

Some of them shoot great I had a BAM B40 that was built on the right day I wish I never sold it....Until I bought this HW97 none of the springers I have bought have come close it it

That's one heck of a price, but I couldn't find it on the site last night for specs info. From looking at pics of it, I can see some M-rod DNA in it, and that discourages me.

I wouldn't make that assumption about Marauder DNA in the B50. iirc the '50 was out before the Marauder by a couple of years at least. Also, yes, that's the price. Confirmed by Mike.

As you can see in the BAM article, it's a clone of the Daystate Huntsman pcp. Still, it's good to read up on the B50/51 before buying. There is always "the book" too ;)

I am having trouble not jumping on one thats a great price...they are abit heavy but they were alot more money just a few years back....I really didn't need the CZ200S in .177 either....I had a S200 already but good deals are so tempting

The B50/51 do require somebody that likes to work on them

Tom, I bought some BAM Like-me juice just a while ago. Actually I have two very good friends in Gary and Jay who are BAM masters and will guide me through any troubled waters. I understand it's an easy rifle to work on. So, I'm stoked for it! ;D
You have an FX Monsoon!  :o I just noticed that.

I love my B50. I bought it from Best a few years ago. It is easy to work on and capable of impressive power.
I'd like to get one of those AR2078B rifles, but with the thumbhole stock off an AR2078.

fp, if you can get one, I know it will help Mike. Of course the rifle needs to suit your needs too. For me it was a confluence of being able to help Mike, and an irresistible price. I'm glad on both accounts.

hey grumpy, talk about the horns of a dilemma! ;D $216.95 shipped is very attractive, ain't it?

I recently ordered a .177 B50 from Mike. It came in today. I will shoot it tomorrow. This is my first go at PCP. I will use my son's Discovery charging equipment to test it out. Here are my first impressions after inspection:

The stock was a little loose even with the single screw that holds the action tightened as far as it would go in. I measured everything and ended up grinding the screw down about .050 inches so it would not bottom out. Now the stock is tight.

This looks like an amazing rifle for the $216.95 that Mike charges. The metal finish is much better than any of the other Chinese rifles that I have owned. The stock finish is also nice. I'm not sure of the wood type but it has a brown/walnut finish. I like the reddish/brown finish and checkering of the high end Techforce rifles so that is what I usually compare other Chinese rifles to. The finish on B50 is different, much better than my B21. The smooth, uncheckered walnut color is already growing on me.

hey Jay! we could order pizzza! :D Why not? Thanks for the tip on the bolt o-rings too. I'll contact Mike about those. Good idea to come up to your place too. ;)

Tom and grumpy, you guys don't need any more air rifles (but it ain't about NEED, is it?) ;) But if you guys do get one of these, I'm hoping that you as well as I will be very pleased you (we) did. ;D

Scotchmo, thanks for that tip. I'll check mine over too and report back (once that mule train makes it across the Mississippi, and drops it at my door).

Waiting to hear back from Big Ed still.

Jay, Gary says you've got yours on a hot setup. Care to share?

Well Darryl I took a plain Ol' hot plate an duct taped it to the bottom of the air tube, this way I raise the temp which in turn raise's the pressure :o :P ;). You know I'm joking(hmmm maybe though??), all I've done to mine is the regular mod's, plus alot of hand polishing of part's, barrel an replaced a couple of screw's(we got extra in case your's need's them), the gun's can be made to shoot pretty fast if you so desire, I have kinda rounded mine out at 930fps with 14.3 pellet's an it's acc. as can be at this speed.

According to NORAD, Santa will drop my '50 off early; as in tomorrow. I look forward to catching up with you and Gary, and having a **Bam!!!!** of a good time getting my rifle right for it's debut on the GTA. ;D
