Not had the BTNP well yet but! I have had my share of 34's.
For the money the 34 is a fine bit of kit & sweet triggers. Of course as with all lower end springers the 34 does benefit from a bit of honing , smoothing up corners & a degrease & proper lube job.

RWS 34 and NP like apples and oranges...
Each one has it own qualities.
Both excellent guns after tune.

The 34 has had a serious facelift. Totally new, modular trigger - T06, adjustable for weight and travel (plus I think it's now modular and can be easily detached.) Stock lengthened to cover the breech block and a butt pad added. All for the same price of the older model. ManVentures might still have them for about $180, too. They do need at least a lube since Diana has been shipping them pretty much dry for a long time now. While they advise spring oil, JM tars/moly are much better. Not advocating one over the other but thought you should know that some of the prior 34 reviews (while almost all are very positive) will not take these changes into consideration. Oh, yeah, and they now have a metal trigger for those wishing to get frostbite. ;-0
