ya i realized that, i was just wondering if there is like a screw to limit the power, so i can maybe unscrew it and maybe get more power?

Replace the spring with the full power one.

You either have to open it and replace the spring, send it to get tuned and have the spring replaced or just buy the full power version.

A 490 fps Blackhawk? Even in countries with a fp limit, something has got to be kaput.

< 500 fps is the Canadian version. Fully functional. You need a FAC or PAL to get the full power one.

ya somethin's not right with this gun, you either have a bad spring or a piston seal thats way to tight or a cloged transfer port and and check the breech seal to make sure it up above the barrel block a little if not you won't get good air transfer to the barrel.

yes in Canada you can't buy any gun no matter what the pellet size, bigger then 500 fps with out a gun license. i think it is stupid.

Use lighter pellet to hit 500fps.

you could open up the transfer port and get a little more power out of in that case!

You do not want to mess with the transfer port. Tampering with this will not get you more power. It's designed to get the most air pressure from the chamber and powerplant. As stated, if you are in Canada, this is your limit on power without proper documentation. The only way to improve it is to open it up, replace the spring and seal. Or also as suggested, send it off to be professionally tuned.
Happy Shooting!!!!

Wow those Canadians are harsh, I thought Illinois was bad. I would rather live here than Canada.

So how hard is it to get the stupid gun license?

The license is a 2 day course on the weekend and 300 hundred dollars, For hunting and pal for long guns.

I always say just get your license!!!!

I went down this road with crosman AGs, No body wants to say do this or that because it is illegal. I taught my self how to do this.

I trashed a few ags and after trial and error, had some pretty impressive shooters power wise.

But they were useless unless in your home, you can't take them anywhere and hunt in the woods..

So I destroyed those ags got my license and haven't looked back, by far the best advise
would be to say..  Just get your license.

Nothing like sitting in the woods with your AG listening to ma nature, and hunting for your food, Those licenses open doors.Rob
