Any Daisy 853 Mods?

I recently stumbled into a thread about CMPs  great deal on the Daisy 853. The thread was a good read, and while I myself am not a Daisy owner, I found it easy to appreciate the virtues being extolled upon this rifle. Before it was all said, and done; I found that I had ordered one for myself. This single stroke, low power, tack driver is a markedly different animal than any of the air rifles I have, or have worked on.
I like to tinker with my toys. Especially a used rifle. So I was wondering what kind of mods you guys have discovered, and used on your Daisy 853.
My HW77k should arrive today.That'll keep me busy for a while. But my 853 will be here before I know it. And I want to be ready...

The number one mod is the Pilkington trigger mod. You have to do it if not done already which it likely was already if you got used. I've done this on 753, 953 and 888 rifles.

Second is butt extensions (the Kim Kardashian mod). You can buy plastic extender plates or make your own. I've also replaced with Bisley adjustable.

It is most likely that the CMP 853 have the mod done to them, but there is the chance that yours does not have the mod.

Mine doesn't have the mod done. But it will... I have it taken out of the stock right now, so I guess this would be a good time to do it. The stock itself is soaking up its 5th coat of tru-oil. Won't be long an it should be back together. In the mean time... I put in an order for two more, this past Thursday.
