i know in general manufacturers post unrealistic numbers using the lightest pellets available. i have been testing my mrod with new chrony and it will achieve 1100 fps with predator polymags and 1050 with crosman premier heavies 10.5gr i don't have any of the light pellets but i think they would easily break the advertised speed of 1100 fps. and that is not turned all the way up. i feel like there 1100 fps is very achievable if desired. i don't want my gun shooting that fast as it starts to "crack" but +1 for crosman.
i'm gonna tune it to shoot 1000fps with cph. the cph's shoot real good around 1000 and down and it doesn't sonic boom.
i just thought i would point that one out for the record.

i'm sure there are probably even some differences in mrods, but thought it worth noting that those were realistic numbers. i was afraid i was gonna have to stand on my head and dance a jig to get this thing to shoot heavies at 1000fps. actually turned it down a little. shoot 2 or 3 clips then last 2 clips shoot cpl or predators.

I have found that it is mainly springers and gas ram guns that are always quite a bit off of advertised numbers.I have heard of some real high end spring guns being pretty close to advertise fps though.

it's common practice in almost all industries to stretch the numbers. it's to be expected at this point. didn't really think my mrod would shoot 1100 unless i shot pba's through it. guess i was just surprised to see it actually do it. not a biggie but someone thinking about getting an mrod might like to know it will actually heave a heavy at over 1000fps.

Definitely good to know, I have mostly experience with springers right now. My #'s show the standard claims to be inaccurate. I have a Cabelas outfitter 22 that claims 800 fps and actually shoots around 712 with 14.5 gr. lead. Really like the M-rod, but has been out of my price range for now, although this may move it up some on the want list.
