Just shot first one of these at a squirrel and it was dead on accurate at 20 yds. Good penetration and damage. Are these pretty much a short range only pellet or what do you think?
Pyramid air has them for $2.69 for 250, I paid $3.39 at Kmart. I was impressed based on one shot only but maybe because my expectations are so low at this price point. Thanks for any opiinions or experience you can share.

They're pretty good at short range, but I would hesitate to stretch them beyond 25 yards, as they will lose their velocity rapidly out beyond that.
I have them, too, the version with the copper plating (at least it looks like it), and they do pretty well, but I always choose a good quality domed pellet for hunting, since I can pick off my game up to about 50 yards.

I have 3 guns that love the quest the phantom an mendosa rm200. mine shoot good out to 30 yd,s great plinking pellet little light for hunting an long range. also the dasiy h-p work well in some of my gun slightly different fit. An My b3-3 loves the beeman pointed at 20yd,s but opens up a little at 30 yd,s My ruger black hawk does very good with beeman wadcutters at 30 yd,s but really opens up at 40 yd,s. The cheap beemans are good value for paper punching an might work for hunting in some gun,s. I love the price.

Great input guys. If it ever stops raining I'll try to do an accuracy comparison between these and the crosman destroyers at 25 yards in a crosman nitro venom. Destroyers are $2 for 250 at Walmart, so near the same price range. Other than that one mangled looking pellet shown above, the rest of the beeman tin all look good to the naked eye.

Im my opinion they are the best china pellets going, i have several guns, that in spite of high FPS, shoot them very accurately. J

Just did a quick comparison which has little or no value do to low # of shots but it did give me a surprise as I had not tried some of these pellets in this gun before. Running out of light so no time for real test.
at 25 yds in the rain, tiny 3 shot groups
Pellet group size (max)
Beeman hollow points 2"
Crosman regular pointed 1 1/4"
CPHP 3/4"
Crosman Destroyer 1/4"
Very surprising as all destroyer pellets looked almost like they went through the same hole. Shot two 3 shot groups of destroyers and only one 3 shot group of the others. That's why this test is pretty much worthless but it tells me that I need to do some more testing with the destroyers. Was very surprised they were so much better. Maybe just a fluke... I know my crosman pump up 66 (fancy 760 but has rifled barrel) was really accurate with destroyers and really bad with everything else. Interesting...

i also bought a tin of these from PA. the majority of them were fine but i got some that either fit too loose or that they were deformed. one of them had the tip of it very small

If you buy the 500 tin it,s a better value. Also kmart carries them $3.99 for tin of 500 an I stock up then they do there 15 percent off sale. works out to 3.39 for tin of 500.

Ivanpros, awesome graph! Surprised that destroyer did so well. I would like to try those polymags. I'll try to do some testing with the different pellets. Also I found this sampler that has 25 each of 28 different pellets. Pretty cool. I might order this sampler.

They also have smaller sized samplers for medium or heavy weight pellets:

I shot the original version of these 20 some years ago silverbears as I recall. Accuracy was good but due to the light weight performance dropped off really quick. I was enamored with the hollow point, silverbears were the first ones. But I quickly found out that they didnt expand. Those were the days the Beeman catalog was like a bible, still have a box of silver jets.

Following up on this. Did some limited testing tonight and destroyer is making the best 5 shot groups at 25 yards. Much better than the CPHP even. Need to do more testing to see if this holds up but tonight's groups were similar to that photo I posted above although the destroyer group was looser than the photo. My scope was getting loose so I only had a chance to do a few comparisons (test shots were after re-torquing scope).
