So, I got a Browning Buck Mark (Buckmark?) air pistol, because I wanted to try a springer pistol, and it was the cheapest option. Here's my modest opinion:
As you know, the fps is low. I would advise Browning, Umarex, or someone else to make either an upgrade kit or an upgraded version. However, looking past that, I found it was a decent gun. The accuracy, once I got it sighted in, was slightly above what I expected, once I got used to the trigger. The trigger is the other part I didn't like. It seemed like there was no, or very little pull. You just apply pressure, and it just breaks. No pull, no stages, just foreward, and fired. Once I got used to where it broke, I could hit tin cans from a decent range. It's not going to be your gun to take down a boar, but it's certainly a fun backyard plinker.
So, next thing: How should I mod it? Can I? Any suggestions or tips? Let me know.

Alright, so, accuracy time. I shot ten rounds at a paper target at 10 and 20 yards, roughly. The accuracy isn't the greatest. From ten yards, you get about a 5" spread. Now, it wasn't sighted in perfectly (shooting a little high), but I aimed at the same place each time. A twenty yards, you get a much larger spread, of about 7.5".
It certainly isn't a world class 10 meter pistol, but for back yard can plinking, accept no (cheap) substitutes.

Hmmm. I recently got a Browning Buckmark also, and it's grouping much better than yours. I am shooting mostly at 7 yards, but sometimes 10n yards. Not 20. I am getting many ragged one hole groups at 7 yards off a rest. Mine seems to prefer RWS Hobby pellets. I have tried a couple of dot scopes and the open sights, and all give me about the same results. The open sights have no clicks, which would have been better, I am very happy with the accuracy of my Buckmark. Compared to my Crosman Phantom rifle, the spring piston Buckmark is a cinch to shoot well. I may have got lucky to get a very good one,

I will say, and I'm sorry for forgetting, that it seems to be better now that it's settled down a bit (aprox 200 cheap pellets through it). I'm now getting, at 10 yards, a grouping of about 0.75-2 inches, depending on the pellets, wind, etc. Plus, at 10 yards, I can hit a tin can 22/25 times. I really should do another test some day, and post it. Thanks for reminding me!
