Ok now what is a good pellet for this baby? Guy was going to send me some but forgot. He also forgot the fill probe, can an evanix probe be used? Some say you can get 4 to 6 shots a fill, how much psi do you put into this baby? Some posts say 3K psi and some say a little less.
Was going to start with round ball should I use 178 or 183 grains. Anyone every try sabot 44 cal like they use in BP? Why do I always get the guys that disappear after they get the check.

Yeah...things are going slow....dog is a full time effort right now. Need to get out and find some 50 ball ammo....I have a pump but not looking forward to using it to fill the dragon. I won't say who the seller is yet as I'm hoping he will rectify the situation.
He did have the smarts to seperate the action and stock before shipping. After Evanix fiasco I'm surprised I didn't ask him to do this myself. UPS did pickup the evanix for damage assessment. Don't think I'll be firing the dragon in the yard or basement.

Get the .495 Hornady 183gr perfect for that rifle.
The Evanix probe wont do, Pyramyd sells Sam Yang probes for 19 bucks, those work

Thanks for the info NP....will give this guy a week or so to rectify before I put in an order with PA. Don't want to order and end up with two of everything.
Are the probes a specialzed AG thing or can I find one at my local ACE hdwre?
Probe is te hangup as I could always find some BP roundballs to shoot either at Wally or local gun shop.

Before you buy any bullets I would slug the Barrel, I did my Sam Yang 50 cal and it turned out to be a 496, so that meant I needed 499 to 500 to catch the groves right, to small and they won't grip right. PY air didn't have the specs on the dia of the barrel on the 50 or 357, I have all 3, 357 (needs a 360 to 361 ball) the 45 takes a 457 ball and the dragon claw takes a 500 ball.
I slugged all 3 to make sure then ordered molds from lee
I have both round ball and conical bullets, none of the sam yangs shoot the conicals well at all.
The 357 with round ball shot 5 shots at 25 yards that a dime would cover the group
The 45 shot 6 shots that a quarter would cover all the holes, tommorow I get the round ball mold for the 50 cal from lee and will know what it will do.
I have many .22 cal guns, One thing I do that all including the big bores benifit is lub, I use common spray Pam, you can use cooking oils also, I spray the pellets in a top of the tin very lightly and slowly turning the bullets in the lid to get a little on each, takes very little.
I am going to try and post a photo of the group from the 357 it says 457 but its 357 don't know if its going to work, well the photo didn't work

Just an update, seller came through with the probe and two bags of conicals.494 haven't weighed them yet. Now need to find a way to leave the pup for a couple of hours to get up to the gun club to fire this beast. Don't want to try it in the basement or backyard.
UPS picked up the Evanix and it;s back where it originated being evaluated for damage assessment.
That should take half the summer......nice way to get good use out of a chunk of money.
I just hope it's not worse when I finally get it back.
Update!
Got the blizzard back, it was worse. Stock fell apart in my hands after I opened it up. UPS denied the claim. Seller denies any fault and won't go after UPS or take care of what he should. I fixed the stock, it is strong but looks like &^^&. May have to get a custom stock made for it.

Thanks Jetman,
I went to my local gun shop to grab a bag of roundball cuz I didn't feel like adding $10 shipping to a $12 order......well I saw a niice S & W in the showcase so ther went a few c-notes and he was out of the roundball. He ordered some and I just grab them when I pick up the PB after the waiting period. Yeah how dumb, I have several dozen at home why do i HAVE TO WAIT? Silly politicians!

Gary you really know how to rub salt in an open wound.
This pup has really put me behind on everything, just starting to get some yard work caught up, need to open pool and work on painting and fixing some of the neglected parts of the exterior. I don't know what I'll get accomplished. AG's are way down on the list. Health is not that great so I'm very slow on getting things done, just the way it is.

Well congratulations....
One of my future buy's perhaps....
What i like about it is the sideleaver cocking, the stock
but it also misses some power;
see mr Gargoyle about this one;
http://www.bgmfairguns.com/otherproducts.html
I think i would like a 9mm 28' barrel and that would give it more power.
Lothar Walther has one now for airguns
http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=24915&cat=9mm
have fun with it

Hey Bluz I didn't mean to pour salt in an open wound. I was just asking. I know what you mean once a guy gets behind it's hard to catch back up. I'm still getting rid of the twigs and small limbs for the ice storm last winter plus the new stuff from the storms we have been getting.
