Found this on my local craiglist, anyone recognize it and know anything about it?
Romanian Training Rifle - was used in aroun 1970s to train Romanian Soldiers. Shoots .45 pellet.

4.5 or .177. Fairly cheap, sheet metal springer. Sold when imported for about $30. Google "Romanian Pioneer air rifle". Comparable, but inferior to, a Diana 16.

The guy is insisting it is .45 (point four five) and not 4.5?? The muzzle next to the nickel looks bigger than a .177 to me?

Cool!!!! $45 ?!?!?! Heck, pick it up. I've spent/wasted alot more on alot less,....Besides, you don't see these every day,...and if it shoots accurately, you'll have a nice conversation piece to show off to your friends. Nice cold war/iron curtain era exotic Eastern European springer. Anybody can find and own a West German, English, Turkish, or Spanish springer,...but not too many folks have ever heard of or seen examples from the eastern block countries. I say go for it Richard.

Why not buy it for him, LOL! Those things come up often on the auction sites. Easier to acquire than get rid of.

Didn't realize that RF. don't get on a lot of auction sights because of the bs like what has been mentioned about un knowing or non Airgun educated sellers. That's why I stick to the Airgun classifieds. But if these and other lesser known guns are offered on These sites, I had better open up my horizons to other sources as well. I still think its kinda cool to have oddball stuff in an Airgun collection. Tell ya what Red. You buy it if Richard doesn't want it , and I will buy it from you!!!!
