going to be different for each gun. Try the CPHPS fist, becaus they are cheap and are decnt for most uses.

The 1377 shoots anything good, but most barrels seem to like Cphps and crosman destroyers.

Crosman premier hollowpoints, pointed (hunters), destroyers (EX).
RWS superdomes.
made in germany Beeman (H&N) domed pellets.
One of those should work 'ok'. Like he says, its gonna be different for each gun.

i would stay away from pointed pellets and destroyers... look for either something like the rws superdome or super h point. jsb domed pellets are very good too..
best thing to do is search around for other posts about the same gun you have and what pellet that person is using.. find the top 4 and place an order

Mine likes the superdomes the best , just got some new ones I haven't tried yet though. I think senco ultrashock h-points. I am hoping for good short range accuracy and more energy and expansion. Superdomes while accurate pass through a lot.

Alot of my mid speed guns shoot Destroyers pretty well. I bought a few cases of them when Wally World had them for $2 a tin. I think I have enough for my grandchildren.

I have a 24" barrel on mine and it loves JSB Exacts (8.4gr) and does pretty well with Crosman Destroyers (regular and EX).

Mine likes almost everything. I have shot the gamo pba ammo to hn 10.65 gr. Nothing past about 15 yds though. I usually just shoot the daisy wadcutters cause i have about 10 tins of them and it shoots them well. Thats the good thing about pumpers you can shoot pretty much what ever you want throigh them.

The main reason, in my mind to get crosman pointed & destroyers... is b/c they are some of the cheapest commonly available.
In most of my guns the destroyers have performed almost as well as the cphp's. Not the best pellet, but very acceptable performance for the lower cost.
Its been my experience that the crosman pointed are better then most (i.e. the commonly available) daisy & gamo pellets.
They aren't the best pellets, but they are better then any comparably priced competitor pellet that i've tried.
I almost recommended the crosman ultra mags, but honestly i didn't think they did much better then normal .177 pointed for my pistols. Same or similiar performance, I stick with the cheaper alternative.
made in europe (i.e. germany, czech) are usually great, i'd say they are the ceiling. (with special order, match grade pellets being the roof)
crosman's pointed is the floor (minimum acceptable performance)
most Daisy & made in china beemans would in my mind be bottom rung.
I haven't tried every gamo pellet, there may be some good ones (match).
absolutely stay away from, unless for some reason your 1377 likes em:
gamo raptors / PBA / ballistic alloy.
daisy dial-a-pellets.
Theres some 'new' polymer pellets that look interesting. Seen them shoot okay out of pellet pistols on youtube.
They don't seem to fit in all air guns though, b/c they are longer then a normal lead pellet. Also since polymer weighs less than lead, they usually have a metal core, to add weigh. Will be interesting what developes in polymers... just look at whats happened with the popularity of airsoft over the past 15-20 years.
Kinda look like blow-dart .40 stun darts.
(YELLOW ones are .40 stun darts)
