what is this j&b bore paste. is it similar to automotive valve grinding compound. this rifle shoots 6 inch groups @ 25 yards. off the hood of my truck. i have all winter to mess with it.
Hi There are many postings about the initial cleaning and break in of these rifles. They do not involve J-B bore paste except as a last resort.check the tightnes of the hinge if the rifle does not group after cleaning. The biggest part of accuracy with these rifles is the pellet. The scope mount needs to be tight. You can use a quarter to tighten the mount. With a coin use as much strength as you have.good luck
K -------- i am going to clean it first. see what happens. bronze or nylon brushes? what about the 177 BORE SNAKE? it's getting cold in ierwa. got all winter. thanks
I scrubbed by new npss and air hawk with JB before I ever shot them. Both barrels were filthy and both guns group very well today.
it does "click" at the end of the cocking stroke, but it sounds deliberate and reassuring. i wouldn't call it quiet. it's fairly pronounced. it's the same "click" i get on all of them when the cocking stroke is completed. is yours doing something other than that?
hmmm. that's greek to me. send it back to crosman. they are outstanding and will likely send you a replacement.
