I've seen posts where someone just put a piece of wood up against it then smacked the other end of the wood & it popped off. You need to know (if you don't already) is that the top of the barrel is flat on top under the site piece so I don't know if you could get any movement right or left with it. I mean it can only go on one way--don't know if you can get a bit of movement out of it installed or not. Good luck!Ed

I had the same problem on my Diana 34P.I could actually see that it was off by about 5 degrees.Removed a setscrew, tapped off with a wooden drift, repositioned the mount correctly and gently tapped back on.Took a shot with the rear sight centered to check my adjustment, and retightened set screw.Barrel end had a triangular shaped tapered flat on it, but still had plenty of play for moving the sight mount around.It was completely useless the way it was, so what could I hurt by trying.
