Thanks. Could you point me to a guide that would show where to oil the gun? What kind of oil do you use?

As far as the type of oil, order some of Macs secret sauce and you will be set.

What kind of oil do you use?Lube the pivot points on the pump arm & put 4-5 drops on the piston. Get yourself some Secret Sauce from Mac-1. It's made especially for pumpers. It's a small investment to preserve your vintage pumper.http://www.mac1airgunshop.com/maintenance-s/1836.htm
Two things to consider:First, if your friend has an older Blue Streak (e.g. "Rocker" version), you'll find that yours is definitely harder to pump than his. I don't think Secret Sauce or anything else will improve the pumping effort that much. I sold my 2005-vintage BS, partly because it was harder to pump than my rockers.Second, same your arms😉. You don't need to give it eight pumps for most shooting, anyway. Three to five pumps are adequate for plinking and pesting within thirty yards. From what I've seen here, most guys (and gals) don't give their streaks any more than five pumps on a routine basis. BTW, it also seems that they are more accurate at five or six pumps.
You can drop in a light intake check spring along with a washer to separate it from the exhaust spring to make the intial pumping effort much easier with the Crosman C9/392/397 valves. I've done it to my 397 and it makes a noticeable difference.http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/message/1248052895/How+about+a+few+easy+DIY+Benji+mod'sHave fun!

It's just hardware store stuff. I used things I had laying around. Any light spring will work, and the washer is probably an m4 or m5.

When you say washer, are talking about one with a hole through the middle or one that is solid? Any creative ideas where to get the spring from?
What about mounting a scope to it? I found these mounts on PA. Are they good? "Crosman B272 4-Pc Intermount" https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-b272-4-pc-intermount-3-8-dovetail?a=191

I am a hunter and do not do much paper punching, except to sight a gun in. I plan to do some chrony work with this gun to see what is the best balance of power and accuracy I can get out of it. Could you explain the difference between the "Rocker" in the Blue Streak and what the C9A has?
