Bob ... no issue here, just never connected the dots you guys had the OMEGA cased version ... my bad.As to your Q ... well after nearly a year running it, listening, wrapping my mind around the physics of its breathing it came to me that the BREATHER on top cap of pump tower had NOTHING TO DO WITH INTAKE and was only an atmospheric vent to allow air in when piston assembly was drawn down and then a bleed air off as it went back up again.* in plugging it up fooling around while pump ran concluded there was MUCH bypass air going around the pumps piston assembly as it went up & down within housing. So ... with bypass happening all the air IN/OUT the vent surely was mixing with the air drawn into the crankcase where the intake filter / reed valve sits having moisture filtration on cases intake sorta lost effectiveness.WHATS THE BYPASS TUBE DO .... Well ... if you understand 2 stroke engines ( My back ground ) as a piston gos UP creating compression there is a vacuum created underneath it.Thus I am using this to the pumps own advantage ....As pumps piston gos from BDC to TDC the air displaced out the vent I deliver to the bottom intake where air going into lower end of pump.As pump go's from TDC to BDC the intake air at the vent draws air in threw the Moisture filter beads and is more effective in drawing the reed valve closed.*The REED valve present in crankcases intake keeps flow from reversing itself. Now 100% of the air cycling threw the pump has originated by coming threw the moisture filter. That was my take on it & application designed to address it Scott
Fitting size 3/8 or 1/2?Bob
3/8 or 1/2 in thread? I have to drill a hole in the case and come out the top with 1/2 tube sirThanks Sorry to bother you Bob
Interested in follow ups and information on these?
Just so I'm clear, you guys are filtering the air from the bottom of the pump crankcase (round cover with 4 screws) and on top of the pump as well?
