I shouldna dunnit, but I did it anyway. With 853's out of the Daisy line up, I pulled the trigger on a CMP 853. I  got the plain stock as I intend to add one of those killer cheek rests to it. Just sent the FAX off. Not a bad deal for $120. I will almost certainly pass my dear old Daisy 131 on to my nephew now.....

I think I may have a new favorite gun. I love my rifles, but I have always been primarily a pistol kind of guy. I finally got my red dot mounted, and the weather is warm enough to do CO2 again, so I have been shooting my Mrod CP1M a lot. This gun is amazing! From the bench, I am just making a ragged hole  for a group. I am a little rusty, but my skills are starting to polish up a little. Don and I were plinking soda cans tonight, and I am about 90% at 10 yards. Well, I know, it's not competition level, but for someone as rusty as I am, it's not bad. We built a rack to hang cans from. It's a lot easier than picking up a can every time you pull the trigger.....

Due to a massive brain fart, the wife and kid convinced me to do what they wanted for tomorrow, so I'll be staying home and being a good boy. Hopefully I'll get to participate next month.

Awesome day shooting today, Robin and I had some fun challenges with each other from 50 yards to 110 yards shooting bullseye's. 😆

I have never really thought much about vintage airguns, but I came across an old Crosman that started my juices flowing... If I  can pick it up I will be very well pleased!
