the numbers seem fairly normal with the stock length barrel. also consider lighter valve spring to help dump the air. more preload will work, but it also increases cocking force and affects the trigger pull.have fun kj
Rob this gun is not stock. I have done major mods to valve and piston. I also enlarged trans port all the way through to 3/16. Thanks for the replies. I didn't,t replace valve spring when it was apart. I had a brain !!!!. Mike

The plastic breech won't last long if you put a heavier hammer spring in. A steel breech is almost a mandatory upgrade to these guns, especially when you are modding for power. Push enough air, and the transfer port will start to leak, because the plastic breech will flex. Velocity will vary, and accuracy will degrade, because as the breech moves, so does the barrel.
