My R1 has the Vortek kit in it and shoots GREAT. That being said, When I tuned my R1 it belonged to a friend and that's the kit he bought. If I was going to do it again I think I would go with the ARH kit. I also like the ARH seals. The Vortek kit is nice though, ether way your going to have a great shooting R1. When I tuned this R1 for my friend, He wanted full power. After I bought it from him, I didn't want a full power 177cal R1, So I cut two coils off the spring. It now shoots a 10gr. JSB at 875fps and one ragged hole at 35yds. You my not want a full power spring, mine shoots so much better with a shorter spring, easier to cock also. Good Luck.
I am doing a rebuild on an older R1 I bought as a project. Being this is the first springer I have rebuilt I am not sure who has the best parts for them. I need a main spring and seals and have looked on a big ag dealers site for the parts, but they dont say where the springs are made. Can anyone point me in a good direction
I like the Vortek tune kits, but its more than I want to send. At least until I find out if I really like shooting a springer that much. Just want a good stock power. Dont really care to increase the fps. I looked on Specialty Shooting Sports and their prices are good. I am guessing they are all German parts. Might go with them.

They were very helpful on the phone last week when I spoke with them, Im sure they could answer any of your questions.
