Does seem that they would be a good solution for misaligned airgun barrels and at about $50 for a set of rings plus a set of inserts.http://www.opticsplanet.com/burris-zee-signature-1-rifle-scope-mount-rings-for-weaver-style-bases.html?_iv_code=BR-RR-SIGNZee1In-420531http://www.opticsplanet.com/burris-signature-pos-align-offset-insert-kits-individual-inserts.html It does appear however that if the airgun has a dovetail scope mount you'll also need a Weaver to dovetail adapter. I have this one mounted to my HW95 costing about $11 with free shipping but I modified it by cutting off the "extension"........I'm currently using Weaver Quad Lock Rings with my adapter (only about $10) for scope mounting and then bending my barrel to put the poi close to the aim point at 30 yards......For about $50 for Zee Rings + inserts it does seem like a better solution than my "barrel bending" and I wish I had watched the "Zee Ring YouTube" years ago and my scope tubes probably wouldn't look like this after using 15 in/lbs torque on the top straps of two piece BKL "double strappers..........LOL....$20 for the Weaver rings plus the dovetail to Weaver adapter is at least cheaper than the "Burris Zees" if I ignore the scope tube damage! As a side note, my Weavers didn't damage my scope tube using 15in/lbs torque on the top straps but I did bend the barrel to align the poi with poa!
Humm.....I wonder how they would work on a recoiling springer since they don't SEEM to have a recoil pin!http://www.burrisoptics.com/mounting-systems/rings/rimfire-and-airgun-ringsHere is a pic of my deformed R9 receiver stop pin HOLE after using a one piece mount with a stop pin and the base screws torqued to the recommended 35in/lbs...........Think I'd rather stick with the long "4 base screw" adapter with stop pin because so far it hasn't moved. Also, with the Weaver mount it's real convenient to remove the scope and remount without a lot of hassle. The adapter also gives some added scope height so I can use a medium height Weaver mount with a 50mm objective lens.
If a given scope mount lacks a stop pin it shouldn't be difficult to drill and tap it to add one, or two, or even three. One only need ensure the pin diameter is the same or slightly smaller than the stop holes on the receiver. If drilling multiple holes they MUST be spaced to match the receiver of the gun on which it'll be used.
