So What is Involved in Tuning a Vortex Ram Rifle / Where to Get it Tuned?

I got the trigger on my Striker to work correctly and would now like to address the low velocity I am getting with it (690-710 with .22 CP's). I did the breech seal "tissue test" and the seal seems to be fine, so I reckon the issue is a bad piston seal. What equipment would I need to do a tune and where can I find information to take me through the process step by step?
Alternatively, who can I send my rifle to for a piston seal replacement and how much should that cost? I'm pretty busy these days and really don't have time to build a spring compressor unless I can find a very simple / safe / effective plan that takes minutes to make, so I may elect to send it out if it is not too expensive.
Thanks very much.

For a gas piston I just use a screw clamp with cloth to not scratch the finish. You know what I mean, basic wood clamp on long rod that screws instead of the grip trigger. That's it. The gas/air pistons are only under compression by fraction of inch so don't require a full press like a spring piston does/should.
People go all out on the tunes but for me it was a simple quick file of the slot along length of piston housing. Visually looking for metal burrs and a short easy file of them to remove. Clean up that slot to remove burrs not actually filing it. Very short light stroke to take off any burr you see. Then I used brake cleaner or some such thing to spray out the inside of piston housing. Using a broom handle or dowel, wrap a rag or paper towels around it to scrub out the inside of housing. Get that sucker clean of metal shavings and grease. Then put the new seal in hot water to soften it up and expand it some, take the old seal off the piston (already out of the housing you just cleaned) and press the warm seal on. Dry it off, add small amount of moly paste around it and put it in the housing. Use touch of moly on all moving parts and trigger as your putting the gun back together. A touch of moly goes a long way, I applied with a tiny water color brush stolen from my kid.
That's all I do. Many do much more but that's a basic clean out the metal, debur the slot and get on a new seal. Get an after market seal from Maccari.

If you don't want to do it yourself, try this guy:
He REALLY knows Hatsans.

I skipped the part of take off the stock, take off the barrel and take out the trigger. What your left with is the power plant with end cap one end held in place by two pins. Your clamp needs to be long enough to fit that length. Once you punch the pins out you unscrew the clamp and voila, your gas piston decompresses in less than 1/4 inch. take clamp off and slide out the housing and piston. It's just that easy. The barrel removal can be a B$%c#h.
There is also a Moderator here, use to be anyway, that likes to tune Hatsans. Had an avatar portrait of a druid (for lack of a better description). He crosshatches the piston housing and burnishes moly to it using a dowel with pipe insulation attached to a drill. Ya know, really goes all out to tune the gun.

Thanks very much for the great information, Garret. Perhaps this will be doable by me after all. Being a visual person I'm still a bit unclear about the setup with the screw clamp for the removal (and reinstallation?) of the gas ram however. Does anyone know of a video showing this being done with a simple c-clamp? You suggested getting a Maccari piston seal - is that the one that is sold by airrifleheadquarters.com?
Thanks again, gentlemen.

Here are links to two seal options mentioned regularly here on GTA.
