It was only 307 and change with the AGNATION coupon! Really happy I asked y'all. Thanks! Phil If I was really after a gun from Crosman waiting til next Friday might not be worth it cause you never know when they might cancel that coupon code Agree. Risking losing 25% off to save $10 or so in shipping is like tripping over a $100 bill to pick up a dime Phil chose wisely

'Pulled the trigger' on a Prod earlier this week and should be receiving it this Monday. I got mine with the shoulder stock in .22 for just under $360 shipped from Sportsmansguide.com, which has the incentive of splitting the total bill into 4(monthly) payments I'm super excited for this gun and really hoping it performs well. I've been hankering for a lightweight carbine that can be thrown into a backpack.

Thanks for the info, John!

Very cool. I know how you feel! I already have a bug buster and medium rings ready. Also gonna order the TKO LDC for mine. Hopefully mine will show up by next Friday.

I got a PROD a couple years ago from Pyramid I think, it was around $340 with free shipping. First one started leaking not long after I got it and it wouldn't group that well. Sent it in and Crosman sent me a new one, different serial number, with two tins of their PCP Discovery pellets and this one has been flawless! No leaks, shoots into a dime I can't complain. I did eventually turn the hammer spring in about a turn.I forgot to add, the other day it quit shooting. Trigger wouldn't reset, took it apart and apparently the screw in the trigger must have backed out enough to cause the trigger not to engage the sear, as an adjustment seemed to put it back like it was and it is again back to knocking 'em deader 'n a doornail. This one takes more nutters than anything I have ever owned. Our back yard is garden beds all over and it keeps the predation down to near zero. Are there any serious valves or mods for these to increase the FPE? I don't really care about shot count, just squirrel count. Here it is with the UTG Leaper's 3x12x40 SWAT AO compact scope with etched glass reticle, love this scope!
Nice prod Doug! Pretty stoked about getting one. I have pecan trees on my property and the nutters eat the dang buds and cut down the yeald from my trees. I sat outside and counted twenty three playing in the trees the other day. They are considered game here and the season just opened back up. I have been knocking them down hard with my disco in 22 . can't wait to unleash the new Prod on them.

I grew up on the Mississippi gulf coast we had 110 trees in our back yard before Camille and all her evil sisters since came through there.Crosman sent me these two tins of pellets when they sent my PROD back, danged if they don't shoot GOOD too! I suppose I could go through the .22 caliber samples box and test out the JSBs and the H&Ns and find one that might do a tad bit better groups but honestly it shoots so good with them I never bothered with anything else afterwards. If you get one and it doesn't group with these Discovery pellets, I would call them and discuss it. As mentioned earlier, sometimes these models are not created equal! Hope yours groups right out of the box!

Lmgunner13, one of the first things I'd do. Note position of those little trigger set screws, you'll be adjusting them so just get a ball park idea. remove each one, clean with a little alcohol, set screw and hole. put a dab of blue Loctite, VC3 or the like on each screw. reinstall, and adjust the trigger to your liking. Now. let it set until the thread locker sets up. These little screws will "screw you" at some point if you don't thread lock them Dougguy,No valve mods are really needed to nearly double FPE over stock. stiffer hammer spring and opening up the transfer port to .110-.125 will get you there. doing a simple Bstaley O ring mod will get you back some shot count and help quite it down some, not necessary since you say shot count isn't important... not sure if the noise that comes with more FPE is or not.Take a look at wayne52's signature picture.
