Ive had my HW30 for about two weeks now and really loving it. I have about 200 shots through it. Im wondering if someone has a picture of where the damage should be occurring on these AG's?As of yet the cocking stroke is very smooth with no grinding of any sort. I am wondering if its something that may not plague all HW30's or is it something that may take some more time to show itselfI have the piece that remedies the issue of the grinding but obviously have not installed it
I have a R7 that is several months old and has about 1500 rounds through it. It was smooth when new, and if possible smoother now. If it doesn't feel like its grinding, don't worry about it. No sense fixing something that's not broken!
I think all the newer rifles 30/50s come with the delrin insert installed in the cocking arm now! the older 30/50s did not, my new HW35 does have the delrin piece in the cocking arm!

FWIW: I purchased a 30S from Krale a month or so ago. No Delrin insert! There appears to be some very light rubbing/scratching on the compression chamber both in fornt and behind the cocking lever support. I believe it has now worn itself clear and feels fine when cocking. I did put a little moly on the affected area and don't anticipate any further problems. Is there somehwere we can cross reference serial numbers with manufacture dates?
If you were getting the galling it would occur in front of the bracket underneath the cocking arm.I took the stock off both the R7 and HW30s and didn't see or hear anything until I shot about 100-200 pellets through them. Why it started after I shot both rifles for a while; I don't know.

If you start having problems then you would need to do something about it. Like some others have said, they have never had an issue with the galling. I have, if I get another HW30s, I get lucky and get a good one. If not, then I already know how to fix it.Does your rifle make any grinding sounds when you cock it?
