Paul, I think that is an issue with all the repeaters, just going to have to keep track of your shots.As for it not locking up correctly that could be a couple of things. 1.) Piston rotated slightly when dry fired. 2.) Sear knocked out of wack when dry fired. 3.) Piece of the spring broke when dry fired.Pull it out of the stock, three screws T25 torx, look in the cocking slot if you see the could of the spring doubled up then you have a broken spring.

I'll have a look at it later today, but it's supposed to be a gas piston, so would the same (#1 & 2 anyway) apply? Is there a spring in a gas piston powered air rifle? I've never had one apart more than just taking the stock off to replace the trigger.
