X12 with a rekord trigger.

This weekend I picked up a Xisco xs12 with a M&M installed rekord trigger and tune. In fact Mike pointed it out to me and latter the owner offered it in a trade. Looks a little weird but the shot cycle is great. I have not had the time to shoot over the crono but the shot cycle feels quick. Debating peep or a small scope.

Got a chance to check the velocity, 8gr at about 500 ft per sec. A little slower than I had hoped so I set it back for the moment. Perhaps the ultimate bell target spring gun so I may leave it alone.

I'd like to see a picture myself.
Especially how the rekord trigger is fitted in place.

T w Brian, I agree however the device (phone) I am using does not cooperate. I can pm some pics for posting if intrested.
After reading Tom Gaylord's blog this morning I went and checked. Sure enough the seal sets deep in the grove and needs to be shimmed. A new seal is in route from Flying Dragons.
Learned two things, one I need to check breach seals more often. Second I would not have know the velosity without a chronograph.

So I Shimmed the breach seal and the velosity did not change. So much for my ability to tell bad breach seals. At this point it is what it is. Perhaps my new springer mini sniper.

No it has the regular stain and varnish that xisco uses.

im just asking cuz i had a xs12 with the b26 trigger on. that is the copy of the reckord. mine was painted on a very stealthy beige colour... sold it a while back, but i do miss it. by the way, mine shot rws hobbies at 610 fps. really consistent. i opened it up and cleaned and deburred as much as possible. a light coat of moly and she was super smooth. if i remember correctly the 7.9 crosman prems went about 566 fps. I got a book with all recorded chrony sessions with any gun that comes home with me... (im that sad...)
If mike has not gone through it, just give it a lube tune. mine was tight at the beginning but after about 600 shots it picked up velocity and became very consistent. All this talk about the little 12 makes me want to call mike again... i wonder how a .22 would do... i'll even use the original trigger and try to smooth it out and take some weight off...

Lillysdad a xs12 in .22 will shoot hobbys a little over 500 ft per sec if my memory is correct. A light pointed pellet gives good trajectory to almost 25 yards. .22 cal is effective on squirrel and rabbit to peep sight ranges (20 yards). Just a little harder than a diana 27 in .22.
The top hat from Flying Dragon came today and I got it installed. Velocity jumped from 490 ish to 550s. Tho top hat took up the space that the trigger is set back.
A xs12 with an 05 trigger has been built and sent to xisco and they seem to be intrested. The only change from stock is to the cocking notch on the piston. Compare a xs25 piston to the xs12. I bet many of you could do this mod.

I've been waiting years for the chinese to wise up and make the little gun with a decent adjustable trigger. I doubt it will ever happen.
