I wanted to comment on this thread as I am familiar with everyone’s frustration. As an Optisan dealer I am diligently trying to get similar answers these past few months.I also wanted to take the opportunity clarify the confusion and to explain that MTC and Optisan are completely separate companies offering different scope lines. Here in the USA, Optisan has a distributor (Rich at Optisan North America). Their product lines included the discontinued Viper and Mamba lines which are to be replaced with the Optisan EVX line. The MTC Optics product lines include the Connect and the Genesis along with the recently introduced Viper Pro and Mamba Pro. MTC Optics distribution in the USA is carried out through my business, Trenier LLC, with a US based website at www.mtcoptics.usThe only connection that exists between MTC and Optisan is that in the United Kingdom (only), MTC Optics is also the distributor of Optisan. I need to stress that this is in the UK only, not the US nor in any other countries. In the distant past, MTC Optics assisted Optisan with design and as such some model names reflected this. It did and still does cause some confusion, but they were and still remain separate companies.MTC Optics support here in the US remains very strong and will continue to be so.Thank you,Jeff
What ever happened in this case? Did you ever get a working scope?I am looking at MTC scopes, they have nice reticles and features and some are actually light weight (under 20 oz) which is appealing since there seems to be a push for heavy 27+ oz 50 mm giant scopes which is getting too heavy for me.But if warranty and availability are issues I'll still with scopes that are not so niche.
Hey Steve did you ever get the situation handled?

Viper and mamba, they were just inviting confusion if they wish to be viewed as two separate companies.I thought they might be like Brocock and Daystate. They are two separate companies but Brococks are assembled in the same building as Daystate.

I got mine from Jeff at Trenier Outdoors and he took care of me when I returned the Mamba.
Jeff at Trenier has been very helpful in my inquires about the scopes and I wont hesitate to buy from him when I am ready
