My 717 is only getting in the 260 fps range. am going to replace the seals and see if that helps. It is over 35 years old and I believe had new seals and foam about 2 years ago and was shooting about 330 at that time. Have not shot it much since then. Other ideas please. Thanks

1. Oil the wick
2. Adjust the cocking arm.

My is over 30 years old and still pumps strong, still have the original seals in it. Just a couple drops of oil should get it back up to speed.

If the oil and the adjusting the piston don't solve the problem, you may want to look at the valve. Daisy still sells a brand new on for something like $6. BTW only use pelgun oil, NON detergent motor oil, ATF or other oils purpose made for airguns. I go with ATF myself.

Pilkguns does some of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing that one. I've used it myself but lost track of it. anotherairgunblog is easier to find than pilkguns. What's up with that?
