TX 200- Too Loud For Night Hunting...

I was trying to use my TX for some late night pest control. But the problem is that it is way too loud. Don't get me wrong; the shot cycle is fine, but the cocking... Dang! I never really noticed just how obnoxiously loud the cocking of the gun was, till I tried cocking it in the dead quiet of the night. Needless to say it alerted my quarry, and I missed my chance.
Is there a way to to quiet the cocking of the rifle? I could really use the accuracy, but cocking it indoors, then bringing it out, and waiting... Well, frankly I'm hesitant to keep my spring compressed that long. Ideas?

Depress the beartrap release and keep it depressed until the sear latches.

You can keep the rifle cocked for a couple of hours with no issues.

Depress the beartrap release and keep it depressed until the sear latches.
This is what I did to help.
Also as the last post pointed out you can have it cocked for hours with no worries...

Depress the beartrap release and keep it depressed until the sear latches.
So hold down the release, through the cocking stroke, then let off the release? I didn't even realize that was an option... Cool! I was thinking something more drastic would be required, like a mod, or something. K.I.S.S. wins again!
