If practicality is a major decider, then that should push the 880 to the top. Even if it is somewhat of a throwaway gun.Forty bucks. Easily scopeable. Accurate and easily portable. Can be easily pumped and operated by almost anyone. Enough power to hunt mice, rats, ground squirrels, rabbits, and tree squirrels. And most birds at close range.I mean it'd basically cost you $40 just to put a scope on most of the stuff you ranked above it...except the 760, which I would've ranked lower to begin with based on power alone(and what current production has become).
Yeah, I don't Invision the 760 as having a greater legacy, or for that matter quality, than the 880.And certainly not better performance.I'd be more likely to put the 2100 as close to equal to the 880 than I would the 760.Now certainly the Sheridan and Benjamin's are of a generally higher quality and performance. And I love the 13xx for what it is.But none of these really match the 880 in practicality, or beat it in popularity. And the 13xx can't compete in performance without extensive mods.

Mine was pretty accurate, I just don't know how to rate it.I am not holding any bias against the 880 because mine broke after about 1.5yrs, I just wouldn't really know where to place it.
Can I assume that single pump pneumatics are good for this list? I'm a big fan of the Daisy 7xx pistols. I have had all of them, at one point or another. They represent a cheap plinker (but for the 777) that is also very accurate. My favorite is the 722. (I prefer that cal.) You can blow a can in two right quick with one. Makes a great bug hunter as well. Very high on the fun factor. My wife and I have a shooting pair of 722's we take camping for lazy sunny afternoons.
