I'm loving them targets and your shooting rest. Think we are kindred spirits. Nice shooting with your new situation. BTW I feel your pain. My sight has been going for the last 15 years and left eye is much better than my right. I already sight pistols with my left eye.......way easier than going lefty with a rifle. I guess I have that to look forward to.BTW when you tear down the old 880, start by replacing the check rubber cup and the two big orings....one on the piston and the other against the valve. You may not have to address the valve at all. Good luck.
Thanks again.. actually, my "old" barrel is stamped "Rifled Barrel". I'm not jumping into anything just yet.. I'll do some research and get on it for a later project. After having "fought" with springers.. you guys may not have noticed.. but, these 880s are just *fun* to shoot. Got some Winnie pellets coming in and a couple other "samples".Next question: I have fired 750- 1000 rounds through my 880. Considering I mainly "plink" and I have done nothing really "controlled".. I think I may possibly be seeing a slight loss in accuracy. How often do you guys clean your barrels,, and how? Thnx... g
