Make dandy targets, just make the hole a little bigger, use a nail or whatever's handy, stick a wire in, bend into a hook hang on tree limb, or leave it straight, stick it in the ground, fine targets out to 50 yards or so, try it, cheap, can even use a pellet trap behind if you want.

Screw an "eye-bolt" into the end and hang them off a piece of rod. That's how I made a set of swingers for informal plinking sessions. Work great. If one gets too deformed by using heavier hitting rifles then they are easily switched out. I've got a setup with a couple of shelf brackets screwed to a board with a threaded rod running between them and five CO2 cartridges swinging freely on eye-bolts. Works great.

I'm a peaceful man and prefer the pursuit of peaceful sports. Those involving teams and balls of any sort tend to be deleterious to one's body and promote violence by both spectators and participants. The shooting sports, however, tend to promote self control and are peaceably participated in by those who know that their greatest challenge is their need to continually hone their own abilities.

I've been using Spent Co2 cartridges for nearly 30 years for small file handles:
Just enlarge/ elongate the piercing with a tapered punch or nailset and enjoy. They are semi-disposable after a couple of "fittings" (meaning they last for years)...

Yep, discovered these little jewels the other day. Along with empty pellet tins! I use old Realtor signs as target backers, the thick corrugated plastic type, the CO2 cartridges stand up on the top with their little heads stuck in the holes!

I was just shooting a cart last night.
Actually did pretty good with my 1740.
The JT brand cart took hit after hit with little damage.
