RWS 350 Safety Help

I just acquired a used 350. Looks great and shoots great, a solid 25.5 fpe. Trouble is that the safety is very hard to push in. So I'm wondering what the causes could be. It has been disassembed by the previous owner.

Would this by chance have the T06 trigger?
When the pins are pressed out to disassemble the gun the detent spring for the safety can move out of place. It is possible during reassembly something was forced into place binding the safety lever.
Reconfiguration or repair will require disassembly of the trigger assembly but NOT VERY FAR!! The safety can be fixed without a complete disassembly of the trigger.

T06 for sure. Do you have a link for repair? I've Googled a ton and couldn't get any good results.

Here is a breakdown of the trigger, can't help with fixing it though, my 350 has aT-05 trigger.
https://www.gunspares.co.uk/products/24955/TO6-Trigger-Unit/
There is one part similar to the T-5 that if not lined up properly would cause the safety to bind , that would be part # EC273 in the diagram, It has to be centered properly for the safety to work properly. Could be something else though.

Robert,
Looks like the schematic is almost the same. I'll dig in tomorrow and see what I come up with.

Well it looks like nothing is broken...But it's something not fitting correctly. It appears that the plastic cap is binding up the safety. Loosening the stock screws it slides smoothly. Not I just have to figure out where it's happening.

I just pulled this rifle out today...forst time in almost 2 years. The safety that previously was so hard to push in it hurt magically corrected itself.
The only thing I can think of is perhaps transporting it in the trunk with the barrel open but not cocked when I got it did something.

It is fantastic that your problem resolved itself. In the meantime "Outdoorman" here on GTA created a fantastic video on how to disassemble and reassemble that trigger.
