I have been testing some .457 bullets in my Texan from Nielsen Specialty Ammo lately and I received some 301 gr. swagged bullets yesterday and it was not very windy so I shot some and was very impressed so today I thought I had better try them again and they did not disappoint me they are by far the most consistent accurate bullet I have shot in my Texan, If Nick decides to make these you guys with .457's need to give them a try! I shot tethered to a 3000 psi scuba tank with no regulator for five 5 shot groups and they averaged 1.851" at 100 yds and I shot 1 group by filling every 2 shots and it was 3.08". I also shot 1 group with my 345 gr. cast bullets and it was a good group for them but was 2.5".

Glad they shot well out of your Texan. Doug still has mine so I can't test them. I want to try a few more weights, mostly lighter to see how they do. I will send you some next week and we can see how they do. I wish I could test them - hurry up Doug.

How light will you be able to go with that design? Your Texan will really be sending them with some authority when Doug gets done with it!

I will see next week, I just used that one as a starting point. Those big one are harder to make so I need to time to sit down and fool around with it. I am getting ready to go hunting now so no bullet until Monday.
