That's hunting!Great shot, Steve.......good thing you were wearing your lucky hunting Crocks
My wife's pet chickens are what got me into air gunning in the first place. We built Ft. Knox for the chickens so no danger of anything getting in to get them but everything with a nose is interested now. Entire pack of raccoons dug under my storage building and set up house keeping. Every possum within a 25 mile radius apparently came calling as well. Super nice job of hunting and nice shot on the fox!!

Good shooting and nice story. Did the fox drop with the lung shot or did it run for a short distance? Harry
Nice shooting and great job eliminating "the fox in the Hen house problem". I have to admit that when I read the subject line I thought that "Fox News " ran a story you didn't like and you shot the TV with your Marauder .
My wife raises chickens for a hobby and they attract all manner of raccoons, opossums and foxes. Earlier this year I had taken 3 fox with my factory stock .25 Marauder and missed another. For several months now, I've been getting pictures of her on my game camera and seeing her in person but always after dark. I had called her up at dusk a time or two but after the very near miss she wasn't about to give me a shot. I kept moving my game camera further down her trail until I was getting pictures at dusk. I cleared a spot at the edge of the swamp and picked a spot 42 yards away. I sat the spot on and off a few times with no luck and even without any pictures. I thought perhaps the clearing I had done spooked her. I sat my spot yesterday until dusk and as I started to leave I spotted her standing in front of me. She didn't walk in front of me, she just appeared The vixen was frozen in place looking forward (not at me). I placed a 25gr JSB through both lungs and into the far shoulder.
