Thank you Stephan.Pay wise it's a lateral move. But it's much much more than that. Used to be fun to stay up and hang out all night. Not so much anymore. Now, it won't be a cakewalk. All the other departments have American Team Members (the drones). Then they have the American Management. (the guys with the tire tracks on there backs). And they have the Korean Management. (The shot callers). Where I'm going there are no guys with tire tracks on their backs........ yet. Ummmm.... that will be me. I will be ordering all that cold rolled steel that I introduced you to above and I will also be the American liaison between the shot callers and the drones. Should be interesting.
Congrats on getting back to days Bill. If you remember, I am familiar with Automotive as well and I know the roller coaster ride you have been on. Going to Purchasing is going to be a new set of headaches, JIT does have it's own challenges...You now have the suppliers and trucking companies to deal with. But it's nothing compared to a Machine being down.Moving up front is a whole different ball game. SIC-EM KILLER!!
Thanks again guys... as for the targets on my back.... paint em bright guys so those of you who can't shoot your way out of a paper bag don't leave me running around maimed. Shooting lights? Yeah, they sell them at Walmart. And frying pan to the fire..... Don, my biker brother... have you looked at your skin lately. Years of wind and sun have thicken it to the consistency of a pig. My tattoo guy says I'm like trying to tattoo a football. This gives us time to get out of the fire before the meat begins to fry. The hair on our butts is all that's in real danger.
