I am done with scopes on a plastic receivers on air rifles.every time I put them away the loose zero or if it hot or to cold they move.when I use the irons there dead on every time.here the deal some of my guns have just black or a white dot. I am no spring chicken. So my eye sight is not the best. I have florescent green or red paint. What color is the best all a round to paint the sights with.

There is no such animal. There are so many colors and combinations, the only way is for your eyes to tell you. Everyone's eyes are different. Most men have some degree of color blindness. What works for one, you might not see at all. Keep experimenting with the paints. You will find a combination of front and rear colors that work best for YOU!

Ken's right - what works best for you is best for you.
On the other hand, I think the human eye is supposed to be most sensitive to light of a wavelength around 5500 Angstroms, which I believe is kind of a lime green. That's probably those yellow green firetrucks are catching on.

Well I went with that lime green since I had it. Man my accuracy went up that color it way better than the white that was on it.it is cloudy and dark today so we we see how it does on a sunny day.as for accuracy I surprised myself today i have a diy spin target that is the size of a quarter. With my 880 I was getting 5 out 5 from 15 18 20 yards before the cold chase me inside. With my 397 I could not do that with irons that's why I had to scope it. The daisy won't hold zero with a scope .
