Stumbled across a Blue Streak on eBay yesterday... snagged it!

Most of the Blue Streaks that I've seen on eBay are listed auction-style, and they always go for way more than I'm willing to pay. This one was a "Buy-It-Now", and at what I felt was a fair price. (And the shipping was free.)
It's missing the bolt handle and the screw that attaches the stock, but the wood and the metal appear to be in good condition. (Hopefully, it won't have any barrel separation at the rear sight.) The lister had stripped the finish, but that was as far as he got refurbishing it. It's in Arizona and he already shipped it, so I'm hoping to get it tomorrow or Friday.
The pics below are from the listing.

The older Sheridans have a grub screw that holds the rear sight in place, so there will be no barrel separation. Having said that, I have three Streaks with barrel separation and they are still as accurate if not more so than the Streaks with no separation.

Looks like it's stamped 1984. Don't know what you paid and it probably don't matter if you're happy but, I'm sure you did good. From what I see, it will be a shooter. I can't see anything that will keep it from that. Wood looks like it's going to finish up nice.
Good Job !

It's got to be 77 or older(Sheridan made) for the flat top receiver.

Maybe that 8 is a 6. Zooming in makes it a bit fuzzy.
Edit: Now that you mention it, it does look like a 6.

I can't tell for sure what it is either, to me it looks like a "6". I'll know for sure in a day or two.

Its a 1964. That gun is cool because 63 and at least early 64 were the only years with the rocker safety and the older front sight. And early 64 guns are the only ones with the rocker safety, earlier front sight AND the backwards date stamp. Very cool.

Congrats! Looks like you got a good one. The price was reasonable too, if it has no major problems.

Yep, I'll post some pictures after the chores are done.
The guy that I bought it from said that it had been his grandfather's. He also said that it held air and would shoot. I started to pump it to verify that, but the grinding, scratching sound of a pump tube full of sand has me thinking that a total teardown and cleaning would be a good idea. I also have to find a bolt for it.
I agree with Zack, I think that the wood will look awesome once it's refinished.
