I don't know of anyone in NW AR but there are several good smiths around the country who could help you. It's a good gun, worth fixing. You could always get a kit and try your hand at it.

Now, when you say 2 piece you talking about the loading pin, that actually pushes pellet into barrel, has come detached? Little while back I repaired a Sheridan that had a 2 piece bolt. I had to put up a WTB for it. Took a little bit for someone to contact me. The piece on top is the bolt lug that pulls hammer back when cocking. You can see the bolt is missing the piece the loading pin. Which sleeves into the bolt and I believe they use to be held in by being a tight fit. So a lot of them over time went shooting down the barrel one day. So getting a new one piece is an easier task.
I'm not in Arkansas, but if you need my services I'd be more then happy to help.

Yep, My early 312's bolt handle is straight, not curved like the one in the pic Rob posted. Would unscrew from the bolt that way with a flat-head slot in the ball.
Cowboy, How did you determine it is a '53? While they began production shortly after WWII, they did not start putting serial numbers on them until '57.

I see, also a tell tale is the shape of the safety. If you look at mine the circles almost look like a bullseye.
The later ones had a bent thumb lever at the top.
