FWB 300S hung cocking lever.... Help!
«
on:

Well, my second post is a request for help. Having stored away my FWB 300S Match the last time in 2006, I originally purchased it new May 23, 1981, I decided it was time to get her out and enjoy some air rifle target practice. So, today on checking the bore I decided to put a couple of quick cleaning pellets through. After drawing the cocking lever back, placing the wool pellets, then pushing the lever forward I had a brain miss fire and cocked the lever again before firing and now I can’t get the lever forward. Could and would someone let me know how to proceed with a recovery.
I shall now wait with a sack over my head in hopes someone will bale me out……
Thanks,

That happened to me one time ( not long ago ) and all I did was with the cocking fully opened, pull it back a little more and it released it.

Sorry about the Plinker business. Yes, I meant you "cosmic".
Joe seems like a real gent and I enjoyed talking to him very much. Have been spending time watching his You Tube presentations. Good stuff.

Hi Scott,
I apologize for not posting more on the issue for now but plan on doing so when I have some time to try something. For now the cocking lever has release and the cleaning pellets fired.

Scott, here's the short of it.
With the cocking lever in the full open position pull it back more until it's at the full open, you'll feel a small resistance in so doing. The cocking lever released and allow me to close it.
A big thank you to all for the input and help.
