I just checked the tracking... she's back in the motherland. Now, the short trip from Germany to Krale in the Netherlands and I can finally stop worrying. Tight groups,Bob
Thanks, gentlemen!I'm very pleased with the replacement rifle and I'm looking forward to lots of fun messing with the gas ram pressure and testing accuracy. It's a heavy and hard-hitting springer that is super smooth. Despite the power, the rifle is very tame during the shot cycle. It's a bit on the loud side, but not too bad.Cocking the thing should eventually build up my right arm to considerably size and strength! ;-)Tight groups,Bob
Hey Bob!You may to have give too the Ftt's in 5.54. HW .22's are known to be a bit loosey goosey.Usually the 5.53 or the 5.54 are the ticket.Skimpy, I'm surprised you had to go up to a 5.55. But thank goodness H&N makes a nice range of pellet sizes.Good Luck & HAppy Shootin!Petey
BobSaw this somewhere else here digging around for info. They found releasing quick bursts dropped the power by 1/2-1/3 fpe per burst. And I've found that to be reasonable accurate as well. Of course, you have to start from a known point. If you have a chronograph, we could hazard a guess.
I tried out my pump set-up and it seems to work perfectly. I bled down the HW90's ram a bit then pumped it back up to about 22.5 bar, according to the gauge on my pump.
