Have not heard of that one at all, even though they claim to be big time in Europe and the UK.
It's an interesting looking device with some nice features, and a tad on the chunky side for a 4-16 variable at 26.5 ounces.
But I looked on three different sites, including the namesake, and still couldn't find where Optisan scopes were manufactured. All it said was that they were made in three different countries.

I think sometimes they go under brand MTC and claim to use Japanese glass. Yeah definitely a bit chunky side. Straight shooters recommended my first purchase of springer rated recoil optisan and I thought it was pretty good.

There is quite a bit of diversity in the airgun world.
Many names that are uncommon to me.

Me too! I am glad I got into it. There are so many quality brands out there that people overlook! I say this having owned leupold, nightforce, sb, and zeiss hensoldt. And yes there are lemons in the premium tier too!
