Hello, all.New to the game, but wonder if a contestant is allowed to use a spotter during a Field Target match?Would a spotter with binoculars be able to see where your pellet hits?Bob
In FT, the only shots that need spotting are the misses. The hits knock the target down. Richard
During a contest, the targets badly needed painting and made it very hard to spot my misses,Bob
i will often intentionally set objective slightly lower then actual range to help focus on pellet flight while target practicing . seems to work although those 177 are pretty small. test it out
I've been trying to take a mental image of the target face and KZ before I shoot, and try not to blink. Even on my best day I might see 50% of the pellets hit. It's just too hard to see an 8 to 10 grain pellet fly. When I was shooting .22 for ft I could see the pellet in flight a lot more clearly.
All of this is what I told Bob.I sent him the regs too....😜
You know Bob is just a trouble maker!
