Have a Qb57. Neat gun, somewhat funky ergonomics, surprisingly accurate. Velocities were all over the place and it smoked like Lionel.
Took it apart. Degreased piston, chamber, piston seal. Piston seal looked good, no holes, scuffs, pieces missing, and still relatively soft. Lubed piston and seal with Krytox GP217. Would have replaced seal with new one but turning the flat head screw had no effect. Did not want to deal with dremel or real die grinder. The hole where the screw head sits got filled with RTV and wiped flush. Anybody ever done something similar? Did it make a difference in any way?
Breach seal was hard like plastic. Removed, cleaned that part of compression chamber and replaced seal. Inside of chamber looked well enough, put GP217 on finger, wiped a ring around inside of chamber and cocking slot.
Old spring was already the higher power one, and straighter than spring I was going to replace it with. Did not have time to stuff washers in, or turn guide on my employers lathe, so I just mixed gp217 with copper anti seize and lightly applied to spring ends. Put it all back together. LOTS OF SPRING PRELOAD ON THIS ONE.
Errantly took trigger apart. Lubed everything, could not figure out how to get back together. Came back a few days later after stewing on pictures (Thank all who have gone before and posted) put back together. Used a nut to raise where the rocker pin pushes lever above it. Put rifle back together. Put 2 drops of chamber oil in chamber in hopes it would more quickly and evenly distribute the GP217. Worked action back and forth.
Sighted in with Industry wad cutters. SUCCESS!! Trigger is light and smooth. Before (been a year or so..) I remember velocity going from like 380 to 480, have not chronied it yet, but seems to thump target box better. Rifle actually seems more hold sensitive. But put 5 shots into 3/4" @ 12 yards with Meisterkugeln wad cutters. NO SMOKE!! I can barely pick up the slightest wiff of "something" with nose next to muzzle.
There you have it. Should make a good backyard pigeon gun.

Next time, I would not have been so quick to take trigger apart. Not in between helping kids and wife with dinner, etc.
Also, would have been a smart idea to blast some penetrating oil where the main tube and endcap come together, and let it sit.

Must say upfront that I'm not a big springer fan but I do love this cool looking take down rifle. The QB57 is the only springer I shoot. You must have it in .22. I had one in .177, years ago, that shot at over 700 fps (no dieseling) with cphp's. I have a .22 QB57 now. I've pretty much gone entirely to .22. They make holes big enough for my old eyes to see. My gun shoots well over 500 fps. I just took it out and chroneyed it, for fun. Did between 542 and 534 with five shots. I did a cheap and cheerful lube tune on it three years ago, when I first bought it. Didn't break it down at all. Just flushed out the chamber of the Chinese gunk with WD-40 and put a couple drops of Slick 50 in there. Then I lubed the main spring with moly lithium grease and enough ATF to have it spread quickly when shooting it.
OK it sounds weird but I got the chamber idea from Eddie Ferrer. I tried it cuz it sounded so easy........and it is. For me, it also worked well. Takes a couple dozen shots to get the gun to settle down and stop dieseling but after that it shoots great. Very consistent and smooth. It may be burning a bit of that mix I put on the main spring in order to get into the mid 500's but that's just sauce for the goose so long as it stays consistent.
