I was in for a massive surprise today! Though the air capacity was 290cc as specified. Took some measurements :Top tube from where the valve face starts to the end just before the lock ring 38cm.Bottom tube 34cm. Internal diameter 20.5mmTotal volume 238cc.Now if we subtract the end caps in the front sight unit that hardly hold any air and the valve housing, poppet and spring, we get about 187cc real air capacity.

Manufacturers tend to "misrepresent" information on their products. Its easy for them to just mic the inside of the tube and measure the external length, do some simple math and then round to the nearest whole number...
