Certainly my chrony results significantly eclipse those of Rick Eutsler in his May '16 video review. Granted I'm at 4000' too but still....What does yours show on the receiver? 900 or 950?
I ended up getting another under-lever - the Walther LGU - and fell in love with it.

It helped set my velocity expectations low and accuracy expectations high. If I can get a solid 15 ft lbs after a tune I'll be happy.
Try the 14.66 H&N FTT pellets for sure. RWS Superdomes are also one that would be on my list.
I pulled it apart. I found a ton of grease, nicked piston seal, and damaged breech seal.
Found this info somewhere: Rotary Breech O-Ring dimaters Small- 1.5mm thick - 17mm ID-20mm OD / Large- 1.5mm thick 6mm ID- 9mm OD, and both ARH and Vortex have the needed piston seals (25mm ~0.990-0.995").
Is the Chroney only good for giving the consistency of a pellet? Then let the rifle choose between those? Maybe I got off base here but sometimes a guy just wonders!!
You need more than 2 - 300 shots to settle a CFX/ Accu down. The overgreasing of the spring (edit: can be) a problem. The atmospheric pressure must have an effect at your high altitude but please do not despair. They are not a Diana or a Weihrauch out of the box but have good potential.Septuagenarians are very capable blokes and you are nearly in the club. Clean up the tools and get started.
