A day hunting in Hawaii

So my work had to close for the day and I all of a sudden had an extra hunting day
I took the Claw .50 with 4 arrows and headed to a blind I set up last week,
as I got there, there was 6 football size pigs feeding on Java plums in the dry creek bed,
I made myself small, watched them and gave them a pass, eventually they moved on so I made my way to the blind and settled in, was about noon.
Immediately I heard mongoose fighting and as I peeked I could see some movement close by so I had to go investigate, and there was a mongoose scavenging a small dead pig
Sneaked back to my pack to get the camcorder to see if I could get some of it on tape
Later since there was no porkers showing up I sneaked back a couple time to record a bit more
In the end I spent 6 hours in the bling and had no porkers action, as I was about to leave mongoose where still at it and I almost sent an arrow their way, but I refrained from it
I will keep this spot in mind for a future mongoose hunt for sure, hard to make a positive count since they move so fast but I'm pretty sure there was at least 6-8 mongoose in the area.

Good job on making a good day off of work Manny. I was waiting for you to arrow a pig, that day wil cone soon enough.
Looks like baiting the mongoose's may be a good way to go too, shoot an invasion bird and you're set for bait.
Cool videos too, I have only saw one mongoose on the big island a while back.

There was 2 of them, the other one basically done but still shallow breathing and Mongoose would not get close to it,
I have no Idea what happened to them, disease ? Dogs ? trampled by cows ? .....your guess is as good as mine
