Thanks But please help me understand your scoring here... (remember, I'm pretty new to this.)What's with the - (minus) scores? Are you working backwards from a possible max of 10? Yes Meaning that if you hit the 9 ring, you're calling it a -1? Exactly I've never seen anyone score that way. Is it common? It's easier for me to do the math and I've been told I'm BackA**ed by more than one person You still come out with the same score. I don't know if it's common but I've seen others do it.Also, I thought that an X meant you totally obliterated the center DOT, that applies to the 50' casual match, in the 30 yd match you only need to touch the center dot, or at the very least touched it.th Bulls 2, 5, 12 and 17 (and possibly others) where you've scored as X don't appear to even be touching the center dot. Scored with a.22 plug it does. See the note below Finally, if you're shooting .177, but using a target for .22, does it make any difference? See the note below. Thanks for helping me understand. No problem.Cheers!Eldor

During last years 30yd match a member here (michaelthomas) recommended that you should be allowed to shoot a .22 target with a .177 and then use a .22 plug to score the target as done in official bench rest matches(I can't find the specific thread). Using a.22 target shot with a .177 pellet and scored with a .22 plug(Mike made a bunch of them and sent them at no charge to anyone participating in the matches) was approved by the Mods(I was not at that time) for the official GTA matches. The purpose is well explained in this thread, reply #7 http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=93024.0 Hope this answers your questions if not feel free to ask away.Cheers

I hadn't realized that the hole made by the pellet is actually smaller than the diameter of the pellet, and now after reading the thread you pointed me to and checking with a scoring gauge, I see that's correct. Interesting!! And I also see that I've been scoring my own results lower than should be.How about an Eagle Eye? Would it give the same results as a scoring plug?I guess those plugs are/were for people living in the US and it seems it was a year ago when they were available. Do you know of any commercial source for scoring plugs?Best regards...Eldor
