They need careful adjustment, very small adjustments to the gap can make a large difference in group size.... There is an ongoing debate where one camp says the gap makes a difference, and the other says it is just that you are moving the weight of the brass cone.... but I think few on either side deny that careful adjustment makes a significant difference.... For the best accuracy, the adjustment may change between pellets, or with velocity....Bob
Yes. Love'em. Someone said of them the beauty of simplicity. Challenging. Biggest challenge I got from pcp was paying for everything and pumping it up. Shooting them wasn't. Couldn't miss.
Air stripper we put on my sons AA S200 FT did help accuracy a small amount. That said it did get quite a bit louder. Biggest improvement came with the addition of huma regulator. Here are the numbers. My jaw hit the floor when I ran this string.JSB 8.4 40 shot averageLo 847.8Hi 850.8Av 849.4Es 3.04Sd 0.5
Most Air Strippers have an adjustable cone, that you can slide back and forth to change the gap between it and the muzzle.... Here is a photo of a Hatsan one....It fits on "standard" 1/2"-20 NF threads on the barrel....Bob
Gap ... is that distance from barrels muzzle to the edge of the strippers cone.It theory what your wanting is, Just as the pellet / bullet clears the muzzle and the pressure / gas driving it radially disperses it get stripped away from getting along side the projectile as said projectile enters the cone.

That's very impressive! I don't think I've ever seen such low ES or SD results before.Shooting JSB 8.4 with this new 16 joules CZ200S Green my results are really bad (very inconsistent velocity) which is why I ordered a regulator for it. But I went with the Altaros one instead of the Huma. From what I've read and heard, they are equally good. But the highest FPS I got with the gun was only 770. A regulator won't increase that I believe, but it will make the shots more consistent in velocity. Maybe I'll have to do something else to increase the fps.
I've heard 1.5 calibers, with the range usually 1-2 cals (and I agree, from my limited testing).... but I have also heard of guys using less than 1 cal.... so about anything may work best for you....Bob
I have the hatsan one for the AT 44. all I say is you better have a day of spare time a lot of pellets and be ready to pump your brains out being the stripper can be move to and fro quite a bit. changimg group size. not only that you must try the setting with a bunch of different pellets recording it. a lot of work after it was over I left it off. what I don't get is that your CZ rifle wasn't match accurate at 10 meters? some cheap springers can shoot in a ragged hole at 10 yds

I backed the restriction screw all the way out. I then tuned the reg to get close, and fine tuned with the hammer spring. Tom
